Front Page Flat Plan Design

To get a more reliable opinion on what is wanted on a front cover, I asked my target audience to help determine the layout they would prefer to see on a front cover. I made three different ideas that were potentials however after a long decision, the majority of the target audience agreed that flat plan number 1 was there favourite. I asked for comments and asked as to why they choose this one and they said that the picture dominates the page and an eye catching picture means people would be more drawn in to buy the mag. They also said they loved the structure and layout and said it look very neat and tidy. they also were keen on the fact that not much of the back ground would be seen as there is a lot of text and obviously the picture dominates most of the page. I agreed with the opinions of my target audience and will therefore use flat plan 1 as my design for my front cover.
